Galvanized Concrete Nails with an Angular Shank, Ranging in Size from 1" to 4"

Galvanized steel concrete nails with angular shanks are specially designed for securing materials to concrete, masonry, or stone surfaces. The angular shank increases the holding power and resistance to pullout, making these nails highly effective in demanding applications. The galvanized coating ensures enhanced durability and rust resistance, making them ideal for outdoor or high-moisture environments.

Angular Shank Concrete Nails

Galvanized steel concrete nails with an angular (also known as helical or spiral) shank, designed for fastening into concrete, masonry, and other hard materials.

  • Material: High carbon steel wire (typically a grade similar to C45 or 1045)
  • Shank Design: Angular/Helical/Spiral shank: The shank is twisted or spiraled to provide increased holding power in concrete and masonry. The specific twist angle, pitch, and number of twists per inch should be specified.

Head Design:

  • Flat head (common)
  • Countersunk head (less common)
  • Other head types (checkered head)

Point Design:

  • Diamond point (most common) - Provides easy penetration into concrete.
  • Chisel point (used for specific applications) - Specify angle and bevel.
  • Other point types - Specify design and angle.

Coating:

  • Galvanized: electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized. The coating thickness should be specified in microns or mils. A common specification is a minimum of 5 microns for electro-galvanizing.

Helical/Spiral Shank Concrete Nails

Shank Type:

  • Shank Twist: Specify the number of twists per inch or per centimeter. This is a critical characteristic of the angular shank.
  • Angular Shank: Features an angular profile to improve the holding power within concrete or masonry, preventing the nail from slipping or loosening over time.

Head Size:

  • Flat Head: Ensures flush installation when driven into the surface.
  • Head Diameter: Typically ranges from 0.25" (6mm) to 0.40" (10mm), providing sufficient surface area for hammer impact and ensuring a tight fit to secure materials effectively.
